Wedding of Alexandra and Tom, April 25, 2014

A gorgeous Spring evening, the wedding was held at Callanwolde, an historic home in Metro Atlanta.  The weather was perfect, as was the setting for the ceremony.   I was positioned at the back of the main room, next to the stairs.  From my view I could see the entire ceremony, the rows of guests and each member of the wedding party as they came down the center aisle and to the front.  The bride, elegant and beautiful, descended the stairs.  It was a touching ceremony, and all were pleased to be a part of witnessing this lovely union.

I arrived about 1 1/2 hours before the start of the ceremony, quickly set up my supplies and began laying in the background and architecture of the room.  There were enough guests to begin adding them as they were seated.  By the time the ceremony began, I had the layout in place.  Throughout the ceremony, I primarily worked to place the wedding party and the bride and groom.  Once the ceremony ended and the guests began to move to the cocktail hour and reception, I continued adding in each and every detail.

At the end of the evening, the painting was mostly complete.  I took the painting back to my studio and in the next few days, continued fine tuning the details and ensuring that every aspect was a wonderful representation of a special and glorious wedding!
